Victorian Jazz Club

Promoting live jazz in the community.

The Victorian Jazz Club, founded in 1968, has been catering for jazz lovers for the past 47 years and now boasts over 500 members.

While our core interest is trad jazz, we have begun to expand into contemporary jazz and swing which has broadened our membership and packed our dance floor.

We host regular live jazz performances at our current home: the Clayton RSL, and occasionally at other venues as well. Our regular events are on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Saturday nights of every month and on the 3rd Wednesday during the day. We also host several other special functions during the year.

2016 AGM Committee Election Results

The AGM Committee member election has taken place. The previous committee has been reinstated by a comfortable margin with some adjustments. The previous president didn't nominate and that position is now filled by Marg Hendrie. An additional member, Gordon Shaw, has been elected to the general committee.

See our Committee page for the new lineup.

A Clarification

The Victorian Jazz Club would like to make it clear that the Facebook page "Friends of the VJC" is not a page that has been sanctioned by the VJC, and was established without any consultation and/or approval from the Committee elected to run the Club.
